To play Secret Santa is a fun and easy way for a group of friends, family members or co-workers to exchange gifts. It is also known as Kris Kringle and is probably the most popular gift exchange game in the world. This game ensures that everybody in the group has oodles of fun and there is no burden on any one single person or everyone to hand out gifts to everyone else. The basic concept of the Secret Santa game is simple and here’s how to do it for your party.

Step by step helpline

1. Write the names of all the participants on small pieces of paper, fold them into half and place them into a box. Make sure to mix them up properly.
2. Ask each person to then choose one name from the box, but not to tell anyone which name they picked.
3. In this manner let the hat make the round of the room till all names and all participants are exhausted.
4. The person who picked the name is now responsible for buying a gift for the person whose name they selected.
5. Put a limit to the amount of money that each person spends in buying the gift.
6. The purpose is not let the anybody know whose name they picked. This is the main objective of the game.

Do’s

• When the giver wraps the gift, he/ she addresses it to recipient but does not write who it is from. The recipient has to make a guess.

• If the person cannot guess then the giver eventually confesses.

Don’ts

• Don’t overshoot the price limit. It will not be considered sportsperson like to do so.

• Whatever you do don’t let the person for whom you are buying the gift know that you are the one. It will defeat the whole purpose of the game.
