Then again due to regional differences people of different states developed customs distinctive to their state and region. Thus, throughout the Christian world everyone celebrates the birth of Christ in their own unique way. An exceptional way of celebrating the holiday season would be to observe how different states of America celebrate the coming of the Lord and partake of their customs and celebrations.

A few suggestions

  1. Travel to the capital of America, Washington D.C. and watch the President press a button to light up the Christmas tree on the lawns of White House.
  2. Go carol singing in your neighborhood just like they do in Boston. You could also make the trip to Boston and join friends and family to go carol singing there. Take some bells with you to ring as you go along.
  3. Travel down to New Orleans to watch the ox parade. Enjoy the sight of an ox decked up in Christmas colors of green and red around the horns.
  4. Visit the East Coast and travel to a Christmas village in Connecticut where you can call upon Santa and receive gifts from him or you can go to North Pole a small town in New York where you will find a post office and even a black smith’s shop to fix the shoes of reindeers.
