Office Staff Christmas Gifts
Most offices will have a get-together or party to celebrate Christmas.
Gifts are, as a rule, exchanged during these parties, and you should be prepared with a gift for everyone at the office. One or more of them may be your superiors, others may be working in the same capacity as you, and yet others may be subordinates. A little planning is all that is needed to be prepared with the right gifts. Once you set your budget and come to a rough decision about what type of things to buy, you can finish your shopping fast and be fully prepared for the get-together.
Gifts for Supervisors
A gift for a superior is not easy to decide because when you give a gift to a boss, there will always be insinuations that you are trying to placate a boss through the gift to make him or her favorably inclined towards you. To avoid this complaint, all staff members can contribute something to buy a combined gift for the boss. If that is not possible, consider giving your own gift but take care not to make it personal. Avoid giving perfume or clothes. A gift card to a restaurant or a theater will not be a bad idea. If you are giving all your colleagues a gift of the same type, it is best to give the same thing to your boss also.
Gifts for Colleagues
Take care to give all your colleagues more or less the same type of gifts or at least those that cost roughly the same. Just as in the case of a superior, it is best not to give personal things to colleagues also. You can give everyone a mug, or a lunch box, or a gift card to a nearby restaurant, or a book on something the company is dealing with. If you are good at handcrafting things or baking things, then you can give similar packets of cookies, or a crocheted center piece, or a scented homemade candle to all.
Gifts for Employees
For all subordinates also, give the same type of gifts. It is best to buy it in bulk and give everyone the same thing. If you do not find anything suitable that can be given to everyone, you can treat everyone to a good lunch. The same type of chocolate boxes or the same type of fruit basket to all will be a good idea, for food is something that can always be used. Or you can give gift cards for a supermarket or restaurant which will also not go unused and will be appreciated.

Gifts for Support Staff
Giving gifts to the support staff is more important than giving gifts to colleagues and bosses. Every office will have a peon, cleaner, messenger, and the like. Depending upon the work culture and convention of the office, you can either pool money to buy a good gift for each of them, or you can give your own small independent gift to each if the other staff members are not interested in making a joint gift. But you should not ignore them under any condition, and if you are having a Christmas party at the office, you should either include them or give them food packets.
